Upcoming Talk: Cycling in a Medieval City

We are excited to host Simon Munk, Infrastructure Campaigner from London Cycle Campaign to hear his thoughts on cycling in a medieval city.

Tue, 23 February 2021
18:30 – 19:30 GMT
Online via Zoom

LCC’s resident “kerb nerd” organises LCC and our borough groups’ expertise and campaigning efforts around “Highways” schemes in London. As well as lobbying City Hall and TfL for more and better cycle schemes, scrutinising major projects such as “Cycleways”, “Liveable Neighbourhoods” and “Safer Junctions”, our Infrastructure Campaigner also provides technical expertise to our borough groups and campaigning tactics around infrastructure.

Previously a consumer technology journalist and copywriter, Simon joined LCC after campaigning for cycling with our borough group in Walthamstow, and helping develop political will in the council, which ultimately helped the borough win, then deliver, the internationally-lauded Waltham Forest mini-Holland schemes. He has since developed LCC’s technical expertise and understanding of highways schemes including low traffic neighbourhoods, junction design and cycle tracks.

The event will broadcast as a Zoom call, with limited places available so please book tickets through our Eventbrite form below. The event is free to attend and open to everyone.
