”Jim McGurn is a highly respected figure in the cycling world, known for his work promoting cycling culture. His books, including On Your Bicycle: An Illustrated History of Cycling, have inspired countless enthusiasts. In 2008, he and his wife, Sally McGurn, founded Get Cycling CIC, a York-based not-for-profit organisation dedicated to making cycling accessible to all. Their mission is deeply personal—Jim and Sally’s son has a disability, which has fueled their passion for ensuring that cycling is inclusive for everyone.

Cycle Magic is a wide-ranging journey through everything Jim McGurn has loved and been fascinated by in cycling. From history and art to cycling literature, photography, engineering and global cultures and exotica his talk and book celebrates the magic of the bicycle in all its forms: a manifesto for a cycling world.’
